What it does
RealRank is a public leaderboard that ranks websites by verified organic search traffic pulled directly from each site owner's Google Search Console account. Rankings default to a momentum-based sort that compares recent click growth against a prior baseline, so a fast-growing smaller site can outrank a large but stagnant one. A volume view showing total clicks over 28 days is also available. Site owners connect via read-only OAuth and receive a verified rank badge they can embed on their own site.
Use cases
- Founders tracking whether their site's organic growth is accelerating or stalling compared to peers in the same category
- Website owners identifying search queries where they appear but fail to earn clicks, using the 'search leaks' tool
- Early-stage startups claiming a founding-member spot on the leaderboard to establish credible, unfakeable traffic proof for users or investors
- SEO practitioners benchmarking a site's momentum against other sites without relying on third-party traffic estimates
- Developers or AI agents querying site rankings via MCP to surface tools to users comparing products
Who it is for
- Independent website founders and solo builders who want transparent, verified ranking against other growing sites
- SEO practitioners looking for a benchmark that uses first-party data rather than estimated figures
- Early-stage startups seeking credible public proof of organic growth they can display on their own site
- Developers building AI assistants that need queryable, verified traffic data about web tools and products
Alternatives and comparison
The page does not name specific competing products. General alternatives in this space include third-party SEO platforms that publish estimated traffic rankings, and directory or leaderboard sites that use upvotes or paid placement rather than verified data. RealRank distinguishes itself by requiring Google Search Console verification, which the page says makes rankings impossible to game with screenshots or purchased attention.
- Third-party traffic estimators (e.g. general SEO tools with traffic estimation features)
- Those tools estimate traffic from crawl samples and keyword models rather than reading verified Search Console data, so figures can differ significantly from actual clicks. RealRank positions itself as more accurate because it uses first-party data only.
